How the Brewers' Iconic Glove Logo Was Created
One of baseball’s most recognizable logos began in 1977 when UW–Eau Claire art student Tom Meindel entered a Milwaukee Brewers design contest and won $2,000. His clever design combined the lowercase letters “m” and “b” into a baseball glove, becoming an iconic symbol of the Brewers and their 1982 World Series team. Although replaced in 1994, the beloved glove logo returned as the team’s primary logo in 2020.
